Let me explain with an example!
I had an AdSense account that I had verified with a temporary phone number, and to not lose the temporary phone number associated with one of the Malaysian mobile operators, I had to regularly top up my own mobile phone. Unfortunately, I forgot to do this top up and ultimately my line was disconnected from the mobile operator’s service and was lost!
After months of simultaneous efforts contacting both the mobile operator and Google, YouTube and AdSense support, I failed to recover my account!
An important point to note is that I had the email and password, but since I was connected to my email via VPN and it had been a long time since I logged into my account, Google’s only way to recover the account was to receive an OTP message to the phone number associated with the email.
And my Gmail account became inaccessible!
So please pay attention to two things – using a SIM card that has a long validity without the need for frequent top ups is very important for the growth of your internet business and income generation from the internet in Malaysia or any other country.
